Tai chi for knee problems

If your knee joints are swollen I suggest that you apply a cabbage poultice. Simply cut out the thick stem out of a large cabbage leaf, iron the it on both sides with a hot iron. Apply to the swollen area and secure it with a bandage.

Then go to bed with the cabbage in place, remove the poultice the following morning. Most people find that the application needs to be repeated on a regular basis.

The application of a ginger compress is also an excellent form of pain relief.

The Taoist Walk is another area to look at.

The Taoist Walk teaches a way of moving the lower part of your body without strain, there should be no discomfort when you practise the Taoist Walk.

The movements of our Tai Chi Form are taught by teaching you how to move your feet first. This ensures that we are able to help you personally gain the maximum benefit.

Our movements also improve your balance and co-ordination. All of this is taught in an easy to follow friendly format.

Most styles of Tai Chi are basically a slowed down martial art, our style of Tai Chi has always been taught purely for health.

Students wishing to study the martial art side of our Arts, studied Feng Shu the Lee Family Arts style of Kung Fu. Our Tai Chi is based purely on Chinese Medicine and all of our registered instructors study an intensive training programme.

Diet plays an important part when it comes to the health of your body, look at what you are putting in; then look at what you are getting out. If you are not happy with your current state of health, then something needs to change.

The ancient Taoist Masters experimented with different food types, to find out what should be eliminated from our diet and what should be added.

Thanks to their efforts today the Lee Family Arts are able to offer the valuable information contained with the Chang Ming diet. This diet was brought out of China in the nineteen thirties by Chan Kam Lee who was the last in line of the Lee Family.

It is thanks to his teaching and the dedication of training, plus the teachings of my Late Master Chee Soo that the LFA is able to pass this information on to you.
