Tai Chi Essence of LFA ...

The essence of LFA Tai Chi Health Arts is to help everyone re–awaken, develop and amplify their energy healing centre by doing tai chi.

An easy way to find your energy centre is to put the end of the thumb of the right hand on top of your navel, laying the remainder of your fingers flat against the abdomen.

Now place a finger from the left hand against the little finger of the right hand. Take the right hand away and the position of the left finger marks your chi energy centre.

If we could bottle and sell Chi energy, we would make a fortune. However, it's already inside you, all you have to do is learn how to develop it.

Li energy is also used in Chinese Medicine. Li energy is the natural energy of the universe, it's the energy that keeps everything in its rightful place and it's passing through you even as you read this web page.

Li energy passes through all men (yang) on its downward journey, passing down the spine and out through the lower abdomen.

However Li energy passes through all ladies (yin) on its upward journey coming up from the ground along the spine and out through the head.

This energy can be harnessed and controlled by everyone, providing they have had the mental training to do so. LFA Tai Chi Health Arts can help you do this too.

Chinese medicine also uses the principles of yin and yang (opposites, male and female). In LFA Tai Chi classes we show you specialised breathing techniques incorporating both yin and yang breathing.

When you train with LFA Tai Chi Health Arts we'll help you to enhance your health by using the Taoist Walk (this has already helped many people suffering, from back, knee, and hip problems) and incoprorating it into the various tai chi sets we teach...

Tai Chi Form Sets...

Our Tai Chi Form set is used to maintain your muscles and energy whilst increasing/prolonging mobility.

The Tai Chi Form lays the foundations upon which all the other tai chi sets are built, whereas the Tai Chi Dance stimulates the mind, helps you to gather Li energy and is very beneficial if you are feeling a low ebb.

The Tai Chi Stick set builds self – confidence, balance and co-ordination and the Tai Chi Silk set aids balance and breath control through soft flowing movements (it has also proved beneficial for people trying to lose weight).

The Tai Chi Sword set exercises the wrists, shoulders and fingers, while improving balance and co-ordination, whilst the Tai Chi Nunchaku set (using foam nunchaku) improves your reflexes.

The Tai Chi Fan set strengthens the whole body while improving concentration.

Apont to remember about our tai chi sets - it's better to perform 10 movements slowly and with precision, rather than 20 movements not so well.

Other sections to the LFA Tai Chi Health Arts are Breathing and K'ai Men exercises. These help to stimulate, sedate and/or rejuvenate every tissue and organ of the body.

They make use of gentle stretching exercises coupled with either yin or yang breathing to bring about the required change of state.

Last but not least , our Tai Chi Vitality Set , which is probably the easiest to learn of all the tai chi sets we teach.

It helps soothe the mind and gently exercise the physical side of the body while at the same time works on the development of your own Chi energy and the harnessing of the external Li energy.

Our tai chi site is full of good quality information on a wide range of ailments with "EASY" free video exercises for you to try.

People ask "why have you gone to so much trouble to include video exercises?" - because I care! If I can help you overcome any problems with your health, I will. That's the main aim of the LFA Tai Chi Health Arts, and we want to reach as many people as possible.

If you start practising LFA Tai Chi Health Arts I can be with you every step of the way through my classes, day courses, Easter and Summer courses, and through my LFA Tai Chi Books and Videos. Please read on to find out more...

Overall, we teach nine different tai chi sets, over 3000 breathing exercises and over 3000 K'ia Men (Taoist yoga).
