Tai Chi for ME
"If you suffer from ME you probably have had a rough time as it has taken the medical profession a long time to recognise this disease.
However, You obviously want to do something about your condition or you wouldn't be reading this. Okay - let's get started.
If you wish to improve your general well being, then I suggest you take up LFA Tai Chi. I have personally witnessed LFA Tai Chi help many people suffering from this condition.
You need ENERGY AND YOU NEED IT NOW...
First, look at the way you breathe. Do you use all of your lungs? Or do you just use the top part? It is important that you breathe as low as possible allowing your abdomen to expand. This way you expel the toxins that build up in the lower part of your lungs.
In the LFA we teach you to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. If you are not use to deep breathing you may feel a little light headed, so start by practising from a seated position. This type of breathing should be come your normal way of life.
The first thing you need to start you on your way are the two books or videos on the right hand side of the page you will be amazed at how quickly your energy improves in such a short space of time.
In the LFA we also teach you how to use two types of energy. The first is your body's own internal energy (Chi) the second is the external energy that keep the world and the universe sustained (Li). We teach you how to draw on this energy and harness it with your own energy. This in turn will help you to feel more energised.
Two friends joined one of our classes both with ME. One lady has improved so much that her days of not been able to drag herself out of bed seem like a distant memory. Her friend, although improved, still has a long way to go.
The difference between the two of them; the first lady practises LFA Tai Chi every day, her friend - only when she attends the class.
You can read all the books and soak up all the information you like - IT WON'T HELP. You have to get up and start helping yourself, there is only you who can do hat. Take the first step and we will help you all we can.
Diet plays an important part, we are what we eat. If you want to feel good and your body to respond, then you have to give it the correct nourishment.
Take a good look at what you are eating and be absolutely ruthless with yourself. I personally follow a 3000 year old diet - Chang Ming (see under 'health diet').
I would recommend that if you have M.E. you start to learn the LFA Tai Chi Form. This is designed to improve the quality of your own body's internal energy, while at the same time easing stress and calming the mind.
