Tai chi for panic attacks

If you are currently suffering from panic attacks, there are some questions you need to answer.

How important is it to you to have your life back?
Are you prepared to make changes to your diet?
Are you prepared to devote some of your time to practise gentle movements?

Panic attacks are becoming more common place in our stressful society and can strike even the most physically fit amongst us.
However just because you are physically fit on the outside does not mean you are healthy on the inside.

The symptoms of hyperventilating make the individual feel as though they are having a heart attack or stroke. It is difficult to breathe out and the whole experience can be very frightening.

During a panic attack the greatest aid is a simple paper bag, simply make sure you cover your nose and mouth and breathe in to the paper bag. You will find your breathing will start to return to normal.

It is important to look at what caused the attack in the first place, LFA Tai Chi deals with treating the cause not the symptom.

A young professional business woman found herself experiencing panic attacks, I recommended she practise the Tai Chi Form, although the lady is unable to attend a weekly class she practises from the video every morning (approx 10 minutes).

After discussion, it was also agreed that a cup of sage tea would be taken every morning and that coffee, tea, fizzy drinks and chocolate would be cut from her diet. Being a self confessed chocoholic, when she stopped eating the chocolate bars, she benefited from the added bonus of weight loss.

At first there were still one or two wobbly moments, they had more to do with the memory and the association with what triggered her panic attacks in the first place.

With her life restored and only minor adjustments made to her daily routine, I received a wonderful thank you letter.

I personally follow a three thousand year old health diet called Chang Ming, and would strongly recommend that if you are truly interested in good health it should become part of your daily life.

The Tai Chi Form provides the foundation for all of our Form sets, the movements are soft and gentle yet highly effective in relieving stress as well as helping to improve the body from the inside to the outside.

Chi and Li Harmony Breathing Exercise, this exercise is one of over three thousand exercises we have in our LFA Medicine Chest. It is easy to practise and can be completed in the time it takes to boil a kettle.
